Jiffy Glue Plugs are made from a coco peat substrate known as preforma. This superior substrate structure holds water extremely well and the absence of a net around the plug allows the roots to develop optimally after potting on. The 30x50mm propagation plugs have sticking holes which can handle larger cuttings, glue plugs hold water extremely well and the absence of a net around the plug allows the roots to develop optimally after potting on.
Use sharp, clean dedicated scissors, scalpel or razor blade.
Taking cuttings/clones Cut the stem at a 45 degrees Celsius angle, below the 3rd node from the shoot tip (preferably using a surgical blade).
Immediately place the cutting in water.
Remove the lowest leaves/shoots. Dip the cutting tip into the rooting gel or powder.
Stick the cutting into the starter pellet, glue plug or substrate of choice.
Cut leaf tips with scissors. Keep in an air tight and humid environment, roots should emerge within 5 – 14 days.
90ml Rooting Gel is sufficient for hundreds of cuttings!
The Glue Plugs are supplied pre-moistened so there’s no need to soak in water before use.
